How long have you been in business?

Simple Country Log Homes was started in 2006 with Charles and associates having many years of prior experience in the log home industry. With that combined experience and dedication, we hope to provide everyone the opportunity of log home ownership. We are a small company with low overhead which will save you money compared to other companies.

Where is Greeneville, TN?

Located in the Northeast corner of Tennessee, Greeneville is in Greene County, about 30 miles Southwest of Johnson City and about one hour drive time from Bristol Speedway, Knoxville, and Gatlinburg.

Why are your packages so much less expensive than other companies?

We can only assume that our ability to offer such great pricing is due to our low overhead because we use the same suppliers that those other companies are using. We also don't spend a lot of your money to advertise in print or other media as we prefer to rely on our word of mouth reputation for good business practices and quality materials.

What is included in your packages?

Please click on here to go to the page with complete details of either our Standard or Preferred Packages. We should also point out that we will gladly customize a package of materials to meet your specific needs. In addition, we are a supplier of quality building materials for even more products to serve your needs.

Can you work from plans other than those offered by Simple Country Log Homes?

Absolutely, we can work and provide free quotes from any house plan, even if it's your hand drawing.

What kind of wood is used in your log homes?

The most common log in this area is an Eastern White Pine and most prefer the Kiln Dried logs with matching beams, and log siding. Our Second Floor system decking uses a 2 x 6 Engleman Spruce Select Decking, which is also used in the roof system.

Other woods and treatments are, of course, available as an option.

When I place an order - how long does it take?

The average lead time required for a log home package is 4 - 6 weeks. Our building materials customer can expect that most products are readily available and prepped for either shipment or local pick up upon receipt and processing of your payment. We encourage you to check out East-Tennessee-Building-Supply where we promote our building materials.

What about shipping costs?

Shipping of log packages can be expensive, but with our contracts and contacts, we will offer you the best price available. We do have contracts with a variety of trucking companies to provide building materials customers with plenty of shipping options at our discounted rates.

What is the payment schedule?

Log home packages and/or construction contracts each require a 30% deposit at the contract signing and the draw/payment schedule will be conducive to the type of project, either payment in full 5 business days prior to package delivery (for package only sales) or a typical log homes draw schedule (for construction contracts).

What about financing?

Although we do not offer financial assistance, we will provide you with a list of lenders who understand the building process of log homes, making your project much more manageable.
